Urban Cowboys is the hip hospitality group behind the famous Lodge, located in New York’s Catskill mountains, Public House, and The Dive Motel in Nashville. Known for its Cowboy themed concepts and maximalist interiors , Urban Cowboy gave birth to a new style dubbed Southwestern Deco, a style that was created by combining two different geometric styles from two different eras and ethos. The style was first introduced at the brands Bed & Breakfast location in Nashville. This was a change from the previous design seen at the brands earlier outposts. Southwestern Deco has now become an integral part of the Urban Cowboy ethos.
The Groups first outpost, the Cabin, opened in Brooklyn, NYC. The space literally resembled a cabin. Hence the concept was to provide the escapism of wilderness lodging within an urban stay. This idea took off, and the Cabin was a hit. The brand expanded from there. As a result, the Cabin is now a regular feature in all Urban Cowboys stays. The Brooklyn location has since closed and is now functioning as a creative studio. specializing in residential, commercial, and immersive hospitality design.
