3-Piece Suits
The trend that is predicted to be the biggest hit of the summer is 3-piece swimsuits. Already hugely popular on social media, these swimsuits include an extra coordinating piece like a skirt, sarong, pants, and more. Borrowing from the recent matching sets trend in fashion, it has now made its way into swim. Everyone loves a good co-ord so what better layering piece to add as a cover-up than something that is designed to match. And there’s more, you’re getting a look that does double duty here with an outfit that can be worn well beyond the water.
Chic Silhouettes
The top trending styles this year are high waisted bikinis and one pieces. High rise briefs are rock stars because they’re incredibly comfortable not to mention being a great tummy concealer. They’re also super flattering on the legs. One pieces are returning this year as the other most desired cut for swim suits. The great thing about both of these silhouettes are that no matter if you prefer a separate or a single shape you’re covered. Either style is universally flattering on all body types. One trend we are finding that is getting a lot of attention this year is asymmetrical bathing suits. Another trend riding the coattails of fashion and making it’s debut in swimwear are floss ties. This first appeared in clothing as additional built in strings tied in creative meant to be seen ways. Taking a cue from the popularity it’s been seeing in fashion, cutouts are also following suit and showing up in swimwear. Peek-a-boo shapes and holes that are strategically placed are a major design that is everywhere in swim right now.
