The owner, Charlie Mac. Gregor was only 26 yrs. old when he came up with the idea for the hotels, an innovative hospitality concept created with the idea of transforming student hospitality. The catalyst behind the concept was to “Explore the World Through the Open-Mindedness of a Student”. This proved to be a very successful model for over 10 years. So much so that the brand decided to revamp its concept by evolving to a space that met the everchanging world of hospitality by expanding the idea of its original concept beyond student accomadations, to create a new space where people of all walks of life come together to meet, share ideas and experiences, and stay true to one’s purpose.
The brands new model is designed around creating boundary blurring spaces that bring like-minded people together as a neighborhood hub to discover, do better, and make an impact in a space to call home.

The Social Hub offers much more than your traditional stay; it is a hub for co-living and co-working, where travelers, students, entrepreneurs, and locals come together in a creative space. The Hotel prides itself on bringing guests together from all walks of life come together to make a change.
The Student Hotel was founded on the idea that “Students Deserved Better”. The original concept was to create an inspirational space where students could explore their ideas and creativity by discovering their purpose, cultivating their potential, and making their mark in the world. As the culture evolved community grew to include co-working and co-living spaces, hotel rooms for tourists, and a creative space for entrepreneurs. This included cultural and event spaces, live weekly podcasts called Bed Talks, Pop up Shops, as well as a variety of rotating cultural shaping social and cultural events.
With the change to the Social Hub this idea still stays. However, the brand has now stretched its model beyond student accommodations by embracing a “Hybrid Hospitality Model” to keep pace with current cultural shift occurring within the hospitality space.
The Social Hub will include all of the original aspects that made the student hotel famous, along with many cool additions. This includes purpose built co-working spaces, theaters and swimming pools, Cross Fit Gyms, 5-star restaurants, lobbies where everyone can hang out and expanded co-working spaces.
The new “Hybrid Hospitality Model” is a one-of-a-kind concept born out of Covid, which places an emphasis on flexibility. Rooms are available for a day or a year. All spaces are bookable or moveable depending on the market or the time of the year. The brand rolled out this concept during the latter part of last year in all of its locations throughout Europe.
Bold, Beautiful, One-Of-a-Kind Design Is at The Heart Of a Stay @ The Social Hub
The Social Hub has transformed accommodations with its trendsetting playful approach to design. The brand is known for its colorful modern aesthetic. You will find yourself immersed in an environment that is 100 percent original. From the hotels signature rounded check-in counters to custom designed furnishings and fixtures.
Each of the brand’s 13 hotels are distinctively designed with an inspiration that take hints from the surrounding cities.
The interiors were designed by Valencia-based design firm Masquespacio, a firm known for bringing spaces to life through bold graphics and playful interiors. The main focal point of each Hotel is a singular open room connected to a series of individual spaces. Inspiration is drawn from a blend of the city’s Industrial Underground vibes and aspects of club life This can be seen in elements such as exposed installations and bright neon lighting. The space is brought to life by using bold signs and graphic elements. Softer textures were used to create a sensation of home.
Co-working Re-imagined
At the Social Hub, Co-Working is re-imagined through vibrant and colorful contemporary interiors. The Hotel’s work areas serve as inspirational spaces, home to many entrepreneurs and start-up companies, and a perfect place for networking and coming up with fresh ideas!!
To support the new Hybrid Model, the Social Hub now offers flexible memberships that give access to the brands wide variety of co-working spaces throughout Europe. Options range from daily desk rentals to individual office spaces and meeting rooms.
Study In Style @ The Social Hub
The Social Hub has evolved its study rooms into Social Learning Spaces. This includes extra study spaces, lecture halls, exam facilities and meeting rooms. All spaces are fully customizable to deliver a diverse range of learning experiences such as online lectures and conferences, trainings, exam days, student fairs and meet and greets.
Stays
The Social Hub has stretched its hospitality model beyond student accommodations. The brand now offers flexible, interchangeable stays that range from 1 day up to a year.
A stay of more than 14 nights includes a fully furnished, stylishly designed modern room, a private kitchenette or shared kitchen, free access to co-working spaces, and a modern 24 hr. gym. Guests can explore the city like a local through the hotels free bike-sharing, as well as free access to the hotels events and benefitting from a discounted rate on local activities.
Eat
The Social Hub now includes a plethora of on-site options for 5-star dining such as lunch boxes, casual buffets, In-house catering, cocktail parties or sit-down dinners. Guests can always find something, from grabbing a cup of coffee to meal and cocktail options. There is something for everyone.
