Isabel Marrant

The French designer’s ready to wear seasonal collection did not disappoint. Inspired by tropical Brazilian music and art the recurring theme of the boho festival influenced styles strutting down the ramp whisked us off into a carefree atmosphere. Her Spring/ Summer show featured design details filled with embroidery and embellishments with a touch of hippie chic. Textures and patters presented an artisan feel combined with some softer feminine fabrics like crochet and lace. Classic warm weather wearables took a turn towards a southwest flair with fringed shorts and slouchy boots. The poncho remains a popular key item and worth the mention is the inclusion of tie-dye that can’t be left out of any collection.

Alberta Ferretti

70’s inspired Silhouettes with a rainbow-inspired color palette made its way down the runway at Alberta Ferretti’s Summer 2020 presentation. The colorful tie-dyed pieces are a must, along with the 70’s inspired caftans, and embroidered silk dresses. Some of my favorite looks are the tie-dyed and patchwork denims. I love the detail on the denim jumpsuits and the interesting take on patchwork. Rainbow color palettes with shades of sorbet were on display. This shade of orange will be one of the hottest colors this season.
