Pharell Williams and Dave Grutman Are The Owners Behind The Goodtime
This cool pastel colored Art-Deco inspired space was conceptualized by none other than legendary music executive Pharrell Williams and Dave Grutman, owner of Groot Group, a hospitality collective behind some of the most cutting-edge experiences the city has to offer.
The Stars Come out to Play @ The Goodtime
The hip Washington Avenue hotel opened in July of last summer. Needless to say, it was a star-studded event with many of the world’s hottest celebrities. Since the opening every who’s who has been seen there from Cardi B., Kim Kardashian, and Marc Anthony. Kendall Jenner was even a star bartender there during the last Art Week. The GoodTime was even the scene of J’Lo’s famous Cambio El Paso, feat. Rauw Alejandro. Not only is this hotel instagrammable, but it is also the perfect spot for Miami star gazing.

The Idea Behind The Goodtime
The idea behind the GoodTime is simple, ” Have a Good Time”. The concept is centered on relaxation, enjoyment, and getting “Lost in the Moment”. The building takes up an entire city block, away from the Miami hustle and bustle. This location was intentionally selected to provide a feeling of escapism, fueled by an urban oasis. The 266 room, seven story hotel is themed as a collection of intimate spaces. A group of experiential concepts all housed under one roof to facilitate the exploration of senses. From shared experiences, to mind calming meditation, soul transporting music and, a gastronomic experience that stimulates the senses. The Goodtime Hotel provides its guests with a “Whimsical, Community Cultivating, Immersive, Mood Elevating Experience”.

The Goodtime Hotel
Ken Fulk Designed The Goodtime
Designed by Ken Fulk, an award-winning interior designer known for his colorful creations. Inspiration for design is a mix of different periods, a re-purposed art deco aesthetic, combined with classic Miami landmarks, and cinematographic references. This is seen throughout the hotel, with many references to the Tenenbaums by Wes Anderson, for instance the custom red wallpaper used in the elevator. Rooms can be described as quirky, with vintage touches such as colorful Rodery phones, and the hotels signature bathrobes, that come in fun prints such as leopard.
Strawberry Moon @ The Goodtime
Strawberry Moon, The Good Time’s main protagonist and a regular backdrop of many a Insta Gram selfie, was themed after the Summer Solstice. The indoor- outdoor ambience features Palm Tree lined twin pools, and a colorful Mediterranean meet “Club House Classics “menu, all in a candy-colored atmosphere.
The Pool at Strawberry Moon is an eclectic mix of Art-Deco inspired fusion. Judging by the popularity on Instagram, this spot is highly photogenic. Soft pastel palettes of coral, pale mint, and white, accented by bold stripes, and a whimsical Palm tree-lined runway, all come together to provide a one-of-a-kind, Instagram worthy aesthetic. The Pool also features an open- air bar, stylish cabanas, a private V.I.P. section, and converts into a day club on Saturdays. I predict Strawberry Moon will likely be the setting of many Swim Week showings.
The Library@ The Goodtime
Another Instagrammable spot at the GoodTime is the library, a colorful space, with a café like vibe, where guests can catch up on business, and browse the latest publications in art and fashion. The inspiration behind the space was Margot Tenenbaum in meets Wes Anderson. The space is a mixture of very different objects, colors and textures that seem to somehow work together to complement each other. Classic furniture was repurposed in a way that feels fresh and modern.
